There are several advantages of utilizing a local licensed agent for your Medicare or other individual health insurance needs. Chief among them is trust, being able to put an actual face with a name connected with your local community and not dealing with a call center in another state or even one outside of the country. Next is accessibility, unless I’m already speaking with someone, I answer my cell phone (the main number I give out) from 8am to 8pm. And if I am on the other line, I make every effort to call you back within 30 minutes of your message.
Experience is another advantage. While there are many experienced agents in North Texas, most don’t cater exclusively with the turning 65 and over 65 market. Not to mention the call centers harassing those just turning 65 with calls all hours of the day, staffed by those either very newly licensed or not licensed at all and only “supervised” by a licensed agent using scare tactics that are not only unethical but most likely illegal.
